Danger Zone is a new fast paced battle royale game built on CS:GO's tactical gameplay where players use their wits, skill, and resources to fight to the end. The game can be played solo, or with another friend or two in duos and trios.
The game works as follows. Matches can be entered with up to 18 players, before which you can choose your entry point on the Backsite map. You will then be deployed to your entry point by helicopter where you will be repelled down a zipline to the ground. From there, it’s quite simple. You find what you can, order what you need, and prepare for the unexpected.
All players in Danger Zone receive a personal tablet which is key to success. It can be used to track opponents’ positions, order and track your deliveries, and keep an eye on your path to avoid the Danger Zone. The tablet can also be upgraded, which can allow you to gain detailed intel on the incoming Danger Zone, track opponents’ deliveries, or follow their movements to hunt them down.
Every match features a set of pistols, rifles, SMGs and heavy weapons from CS:GO's classic arsenal. Resources are scarce, so you should commit to your first weapons, or plan ahead for something with more firepower and remember that every bullet counts. In addition to the standard weapons, you can also get creative with breach charges, plant-anywhere C4, throwable melee weapons, and more. Finally, no battle royale game comes without some sort of healing mechanism, and Danger Zone does that through boosts from Medi-Shots which help you recover quickly and get back in the fight. Administering a health shot will also give you a temporary speed boost, which can come in handy while evading an attacker.
Keeping with the tradition of CS:GO, Danger Zone also introduces the Danger Zone case, which features 17 community-designed weapon finishes, and the Horizon knives as rare special items. For a limited time, you can also play Danger Zone with Prime Status and get a Souvenir MP5-SD | Lab Rats.
